day 3- soo early, soo tired, soo sore... but still at it!



this morning's workout was a little earlier than i had hoped for... like 4:45 am? yeah- i know, i'm totally crazy. but, as you can tell by the times of all of my workouts this week, owen is not on a good sleep schedule. i am about to lose it! i'm really trying to keep him on a pretty strict schedule during the day, but the night is sooo unpredictable! anyhow- i was up and knew that i had to get it done early anyhow since i am going to my mom's this morning and so, i just went for it.

here's the summary:
starting time: 4:45 am
miles RUN (without stopping!): 2! (ok, let me clarify - ran one mile, walked for 3 min, ran another mile, walked another 3 min)
miles walked: 1 (including warm up and cooldown)
total workout time: 45 min
finishing time: 5:30
back to bed (after showering): 6:00 (even though i didn't really sleep because this is the time of day when the hubby hits snooze 5 bazillion times!)

ummm... one thing. remember how i used to run a 7 minute mile? ok, maybe you don't remember, but i do. of course, that was like in 9th grade, but still... why did i feel like i was sprinting when i set the pace at 10 min/mile?? (i didn't keep this up for long!!!) i have yet to set a time goal for this race because i have no clue what is realistic. before i actually started running, i would have thought a 10 min mile pace would have been easy. now i'm not so sure. just tell me it's going to get better!!

still, i'm feeling good that i am totally committed to this and that so many others have hopped on the crazy train. choo choo!

4:45! Wow, I was putting Zach back down from eating and creeping back into bed at that time, never would have CROSSED my mind to get UP then! You are HARD CORE!! Awesome. I'm so proud of you.
