i just got home from a run/walk with amy and audra and i am ready to cry. you may think that it is because i am pathetically out of shape and felt bad that i had to make amy stop running so i could catch my breath. you may think it is because my calves hurt really bad from yesterday's run. you may think it is out of happiness that i actually got 8 hours of sleep last night, but you are all wrong.
on said walk/run, i lost one of owen's favorite blankets. (ok, one of MY favorite blankets, but owey loves it too, i promise!) i am seriously in mourning over this blankie and i know that sounds really silly, but it was sooo cute, and handmade by aunt janet, and polka dot, and not only was it a blanket to keep little owey warm, it was total entertainment because of it's bright colors and patterns. he would stay quiet in the car for hours staring at that thing. (ok, not hours, but long enough!)
i kn0w what you're thinking - how do you lose a blanket on a run and not notice (i.e. run over it?!?) i have been thinking the same thing, and i just don't see how it is possible. also, we did 2 laps of our run and i never saw it on lap 2, plus - i drove around the area we were in twice just praying i would find it. i know- silly thing to pray about, but come on! i really am heartbroken, and i think i will make clint go on a walk with me down there to look for it again. i just can't give up on the green blankie! :( where could it be??? if you found a blanket in the middle of the street would you pick it up? or would you leave it for the rightful owner to come back and find in a joyful reunion? seriously... who would pick it up?! as you can tell, i am rather distraught. i knew i should have brought an ugly blanket.
anyhow- the run/walk (mostly walk) lasted about 50 min down by the beach in del mar. i think we ran about 20-25 min and walked the rest. i was feeling really weak for some reason today - i'm sure pushing a stroller doesn't help, but i really need to do that more often rather than being on a treadmill all the time.
wish me luck on finding the blankie. and please don't tell me to give it up. i just can't.
HAS ANYONE SEEN ME?? (not, owey - he's not lost!)
