day 6: i think i cheated!


so, i had totally planned on running today (the 6 min run, 1 min walk times 4), but i had forgotten that we were going on our little family outing to the zoo today. and since owen slept in until 8:00 (last night was the first night i let him cry in his crib in efforts to get him to sleep through the night... sooo sad!), i didn't have time to go running first. i figured that i'd just go when we got back. so, off to the zoo we went - sooo fun by the way (i'll post about it on my other blog soon) and then i realized that that was a workout in and of itself. i told clint i didn't want any help with the stroller and that proved to be quite the test. i don't know if any of you have ever been to the san diego zoo (if not, you are missing out!) but it is quite the trek. obviously there were breaks and great scenery along the way, but there are also HUGE hills (especially on the way to the polar bear plunge - my FAVORITE part of the zoo). Anyhow, my legs were burning for sure! (clint just mentioned that his legs are sore). so, i think we'll call it a day and do more running than walking next week. i hope you are all as excited about this as i am, and i figure you may as well make training fun, right?!
